AUSWIDE PLUMBING INSTALL WATER SERVICE FOR WATERFRONT WAVE ATTENUATORDecember 1, 2020
Auswide Plumbing have completed the provision of a new fire and water service to be utilised for the new Wave Attenuator constructed at the Geelong Waterfront by the Royal Geelong Yacht Club.
Auswides scope of works included removal of existing concrete and installation of a new abutment for the floating jetty, installation of 85 metres each of DN125 fire service and DN75 water service by method of horizontal boring to the attenuator and tapping to the water main.
Historical building infrastructure under the surface made for a difficult bore, but was completed on time and to client satisfaction by DirectBor.
The 440m long Attenuator, named the Wangim Walk, was completed and opened to the public in December 2020
